More choice of shops gets the popular vote

The Talk of the Towns campaign is a chance to celebrate what you like about your local town, but also to tell us what you want to see improved. Over 1200 people completed the surveys about Braintree, Witham or Halstead town centre in our recent Talk of the Towns consultation and top of the list in all towns was people want to see a better choice of shops.

This feedback and all your other views will help us shape improvements in the town centres, which is why we are running this campaign.

We want to make sure that as we emerge from a tough recession our town centres are in a strong position to thrive, providing more jobs and economic growth for the district.

We can only get that right if we know what the people who know and love their local town want to see improve.

To find out about what people have said, see  Braintree, Halstead and Witham results.
